Back to Scots 2018
For nearly all of our 125 year history, The Scots College and St Joseph’s College have competed within the GPS competition. Generations of boys have played with vigour and passion, forging deep friendships on the field that last a lifetime. On 11 August 2018, we had the pleasure of welcoming St Joseph's College to Scots for Round 4 of the GPS Rugby Competition.
Ask a Scots Old Boy about his time at school, and St Joseph’s College will likely make a vibrant appearance.
We gathered not just for a game of rugby but to celebrate our Scots Old Boys, their successes and the ties we enjoy with our graduates from across the generations. The hope and tenacity with which our young men play today is as recognisable as it was 125 years ago.
The friendships forged in the competition of the GPS are enjoyed for life. On this special weekend, cohorts from the 1940s right up to 2013 celebrated reunions at Scots. Hundreds of Old Boys came back to Scots to share in celebrating one of Australia’s leading school for boys.
The Scots College is as strong as its community, and I thank you for joining us to celebrate 125 years of heritage, tradition and sportsmanship.
Reconnecting at the Old Boys' Union Annual Dinner
In 2018, the Old Boys' Union Annual Dinner was hosted in the Lang Walker Business Centre and attended by over two hundred Old Boys. Read on to view photos and highlights from the evening.
Our highlights...
It was a privilege to host Andrew Blow ('98) as the Master of Ceremonies for the Annual Dinner. Press Secretary to Prime Minister Abbott and an all-round accomplished Scots Old Boy, it was a highlight of the evening to hear from Andrew.
The Class of 1983 certainly kept the evening vibrant — and they clinched the Alumni Challenge Shield! 35 years later and these Scots Old Boys are every-bit as fun as when they left.
