Meet the President
President Mathew Collett ('86)
Mathew Collett (86’) was elected President of the Old Boys' Union on Thursday March 7, 2019.
Mathew represented the College in senior sports at the College, including the 1st XV in Rugby and the 1st XI in cricket. In 1986, Mathew was appointed prefect and Captain of Anderson House and also served on the students' representative council.
After graduating from The Scots College in 1986, Mathew entered investment banking, where he earned the distinction of being one of the youngest directors at JBWere and also spent a number of years at HSBC, while later starting and leading successful businesses including his own company, Solar D Skincare.
In 2019 Mathew was appointed the President of the Scots Rugby Support Group where he took a very passionate and active role in supporting the Scots Rugby program. He also sits on the Easts Rugby Board Foundation as a key member to focus on building the community based program. He is also an active member of the Wentworth Local Advisory Committee (LAC) chaired by Dave Sharma MP.
Mathew has 3 teenage children, his son Hugo graduated year 12 at Scots in 2019.

The role of President
The Old Boys' Union is governed by a Committee appointed annually by members present at the Annual General Meeting. The Committee meets regularly, and charges its office-holders to provide leadership and management for the regular activities of the Old Boys' Union. In this way, the President is responsible for:
- serving as the primary channel of communication between the College Principal and the Old Boys' Union;
- liaising with the Principal to ensure appropriate staffing for the Old Boys' Union;
- honouring the College's heritage and tradition by serving as a key figure in the ceremonial of the College
The President of the Old Boys' Union is assisted in his role by a Special Advisor, the Alumni Relations Manager and the Committee at large.
