Back to Scots
One of the greatest moments in the life of a Scots Old Boy is being able to enjoy supporting Scots in whatever field you most engage with — whether that is rugby, debating, drama or the sciences.
In each instance, the Old Boys’ Union is a connection between the outstanding men that have graduated from Scots and the contemporary College. Back to Scots is a day that we hope you all enjoy because it is a microcosm of all that is fine about Scots — excellence, service, fidelity and, most crucially, fun and happy.
So much can be told about a community from the way it celebrates and enjoys its own company — Back to Scots involves every arm of the College community. Whether its student musicians rehearsing for this day, our administration teams planning for the day, Old Boys volunteering to help host reunions or just the proud cheers from Old Boys across the grounds — it is truly a testament to the camaraderie, connection and care of our broader College community.
Back to Scots is equally about enjoying a fine game of schoolboy rugby and providing one of these precious chances to strengthen existing ties and build new ones. Each year this event has grown, developed and matured in line with the broader Old Boys’ Union. Back to Scots reflects the multi-dimensional nature of our community.
Old Boys now look forward to this annual festival, knowing that while the event itself is consistent and its purpose for existing is both timeless and congruous with the past; the day itself evolves and grows as we move toward increasing our relevance as a lifelong source of connection, care and camaraderie in the hearts and minds of Scots Old Boys.
